This is my work that illustrated the song named "Just The Way You Are". This song tells about the couple that the man admire his girlfriend who is beautiful as the way she is by no changing anything at all.
So, I tried to represent me to the man who want to illustrate girlfriend with abstract art and looked shining in his dream (yellow background) and, admiring her face, hair, nose and eyes in my abstract feeling.
Oh her eyes, her eyes make the stars look like they're not shining.
Her hair, her hair falls perfectly without her trying.
She's so beautiful, and I tell her everyday.
Yeaaa. I know, I know when I compliment her she won't believe me.
And it's so, it's so sad to think that she don't see what i see.
But everytime she ask me 'Do I look okay?' I say..

This project is word translation that teacher gave us to illustrate the words -- sorrow, fresh, magic, spicy, pure, excite, grow, love, luxury and danger. :)
This is my first illustration that inspired by artists in the first article in this blog. I found that the children's book style is bright color, stroke line, easy understanding and telling the story in each scenes.
My self-portrait is represent about my characteristic which is shy person and a little bit chubby. In the picture, I wear graphic t-shirt design that represent I am graphic and web designer. And, I like to use the iPhone to listen the music. Turtle is my designation which many friends like to call me. So that's all is myself.

My Career Path
I chose my career path with children's book illustration because it quite looks funny for me and it can be fulfill my imagination through my drawing. So I think this type might be fit for me to do. Almost children's book illustrations are cartoony and fantasy. It usually used for description in kids' tale or books which is for children like textbooks etc.
My Inspiration

This artwork looks like Asian style and minimal shape of characters, the colors are used lightweight and pastel that fit for girl kids
I like this artwork because the artist used the complementary color (blue-yellow) that can grab attention from the kids and make them want to read the books.

This artwork, it quite looks Japanese Manga or cartoon in game. I like it!! :D
Almost style of children's books look cute cartoony and fantasy. They usually use bright and vivid colors to grab the attraction from kids to read books. So I interested in this type and they inspire me want to do that, although I have poor drawing skill but I will try :)
